Having a child with hearing loss can be expensive. There are hearing aids to buy, speech therapy to go to, and many other costs. You may feel overwhelmed by it all. But there is help.

There are different government programs to help deaf children. And many other groups help families pay for the many different costs. So read this section to find out what help your family can get.

Supplemental Security Income
SSI gives a monthly check to people who are disabled and don't make a lot of money. Read this page to find out if your family can get SSI.

Social Security Disability Insurance
SDDI will pay your child money if he's worked long enough and has paid Social Security taxes. Read this page to find out if your family can get SSDI.
